INTERACTIVE PLANNER

Build a reversible migration plan.

Choose the current provider and workload. MailerZ generates a practical sequence, estimated hands-on time, verification checklist and rollback plan.

ESTIMATED HANDS-ON TIME5499 minutesUsually one focused setup session. DNS propagation can take longer and is not included.

ImprovMX starting pointInventory forwarding aliases, catch-all behavior and any SMTP identities before changing MX.

1
Inventory

Document 1 domain, about 10 aliases, destinations, owners, catch-all rules and sending identities in ImprovMX.

2
Build in parallel

Create and verify the MailerZ configuration while the old provider continues receiving mail. Do not change MX yet.

3
Validate sending

Publish the exact sender-authentication records, configure one SMTP client and verify the visible From identity plus remote response.

4
Cut over receiving

Replace the old MX set during a controlled window. Keep unknown recipients held or rejected according to your selected policy.

5
Observe and decide

Test from unrelated providers, review delivery evidence and retain the old account until the previous TTL and safety window have passed.

ROLLBACK DECISION

Define failure before the cutover.

If a critical alias cannot receive, destinations reject unexpectedly, or sending identity checks fail, restore the saved previous MX set exactly. Keep both provider configurations and test evidence until DNS caches update and the path is stable.
